Celebration Report

2025-2026

Dear Friends,

As we look back on this past school year, I’m incredibly encouraged by the ways we’ve seen God at work through students across Canada.

This year, more than 1,000 students gathered at our fall retreats, students stepped out in faith on mission trips during Reading Week and throughout the summer, and many others explored Christianity for the very first time through Alpha groups, outreach events, and everyday conversations with friends. We also saw students grow as leaders—serving their peers, discipling others, and helping build communities where faith and honest questions are both welcome.

Behind every one of these stories are people like you who chose to pray, give, and invest in the next generation.

Thank you for being part of what God is doing on campuses across Canada. As you read through this Celebration Report, I hope you’ll be encouraged by the lives being changed and the communities being built through your partnership.

With gratitude,

Andy Smits

What students had to say

Alice

“There have been moments throughout this semester where I've clearly felt His presence and care, but I'm still learning to see how that looks in my life.”

Daniel

“This term God has really been convicting me of sharing my testimony. I had always been afraid of my past but for the first time I felt encouraged to share and ended up sharing my testimony with 14 people.”

Tim

“I had a few talks with some non-Christian friends about what life is like as a Christian. I think they are starting to listen more when I bring these things up.”

Celebrations & Challenges

"I stepped into this first semester not really having the intention of genuinely connecting with God..."

"I stepped into this first semester not really having the intention of genuinely connecting with God but in true Godly fashion, He came to me anyway without me asking for it! Specifically, he used the Holy Spirit to have me and S meet each other on the first day of Orientation, and the Holy Spirit moved S to invite me to P2C and Church. Since then, I was able to learn to intentionally seek God and make room for Him in my life. Through [discipleship groups] and improving my praying habits I feel closer to him! I still have a long way to go in my intentionality but I’m learning from my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, their faithfulness has been guiding me.”

-Alekya, University of Toronto

"I saw how God could still use me as part of His work in this community."

"This year, I began helping with AV at P2C, even though I didn’t feel particularly skilled or qualified. Through this, I saw how God could still use me as part of His work in this community. I also grew closer to the people around me, especially in my [discipleship group], and was deeply encouraged by the way we carried one another in prayer and shared honest, fruitful conversations. This semester, I attended multiple outreach events and began to feel more comfortable talking about my faith with my non-Christian friends.”

-Danny, Guelph University
