Week 1

Take a few minutes to silently reflect on something you’ve been curious about recently. It could be something someone said, something happening around you, something from one of your classes, about something you watched or did, something spiritual or emotional, something big or small.

Discussion Questions

  • What is the topic or idea that came to mind as you reflected?

  • What is a “wondering question” you could come up with about this topic – something you could ask others in order to hear their perspective on it or start a conversation about it?

    • Help each other think of a good wondering question for each topic.

    • A wondering question might begin in one of the following ways:

      • “Have you ever thought about…?”

      • “Do you ever wonder…?”

      • “What do you think of…?”

      • “I’ve been thinking about… What are your thoughts about that?”

This week, try to ask one friend your “wondering question” and see how the conversation goes.

Week 2

  • How did our discussion about curiosity and “wondering questions” impact your week?

  • Were you able to ask someone your “wondering question”? Why or why not? Was it easy or hard to ask?

  • How did the resulting conversation go?

  • What did you learn?

  • Are there any next steps you want to take as a result of thinking about/doing this?
