Congratulations! You found the parent section. If you are a parent, we figured you would because you care about your child. And if you’re a student – you’re just curious. Either way, here’s why we created a section just for parents:
You want to know if there is anything else you can do to prepare them spiritually, physically, and academically to help them succeed at college and university.
For students, what awaits them is a sense of independence and freedom. As parents, what lies ahead is the end of a sense of control and the beginning of an unknown. We know that college and university is more than just academic or career development, but has a dramatic impact on the journey of faith that a student lives out beyond graduation.
You are on as much of a journey as your child is as they arrive on campus in the fall. There exists a myriad of feelings, thoughts, and questions concerning your child. We want you to be reassured of three things:
You are not alone
It is never too late to prepare your child
God cares about your child and you through this journey.
P2C-Students desires to minister to your child in several ways:
We offer local communities on campuses across Canada for your child to connect with.
We offer gospel centred content like articles, training, and podcasts to help your child learn and grow in their faith as they follow Jesus.
We offer financial support through our NEXT Steps Awards program to practically support your child as they enter post-secondary.
We offer mission trips to give your child opportunities to take steps of faith and live on mission in Canada and around the world.
Can we offer a suggestion about all the articles written to your child? You’ll probably see something that you would love your son or daughter to read. You know them best so you can probably best gauge their receptivity to reading it. You don’t have to share every article with them – be selective and trust that they’ll find their way around!
