The Armenia mission trip is a two-fold experience. During the trip you will be working with different branches of Power to Change Ministries in Armenia including Global Aid Network (GAiN), the humanitarian partner of Power to Change, and JAH, the student ministry in Armenia.
GAiN exists to reveal hope by sharing God’s unconditional love and restoring life. They do this by demonstrating the gospel through compassionate action to those living in poverty, injustice, and crisis around the world.
GAiN has been involved in Armenia, working through the local church and local partners to share the love of Jesus through compassionate action for decades. While we often forget about this area of the world, Armenia has changed dramatically following the fall of the Ottoman Empire and later the USSR, but the people have not lost their identity as a Christian nation.
JAH is a ministry that has been actively serving the nation since 1999. JAH’s mission extends across a wide spectrum of Armenian society. During the trip, you will have an opportunity to connect with Armenian students, both believers and seekers, amid informal gatherings that include games, conversations, and serving alongside them.
This summer, you have the opportunity to join GAiN, JAH, and our local church partners to both witness and take part in integral missions. Through humanitarian aid projects, you can help restore hope to people who have been affected by turmoil in our world.
You’ll work through local partners to amplify their ministry, and to help them cultivate conversations and share the love of Christ, long after you return home.
You’ll experience “integral mission” where your social involvement has evangelistic consequences, as we bear witness to the transforming grace of Jesus Christ.
As you serve, you’ll seek to understand and humbly learn from your team, our partners and those we hope to serve. You don’t need to have all the answers.
Throughout this two-week trip, you will come alongside local partners and churches, who are already faithfully engaging in ministry. You’ll contribute to ongoing projects, which might look like:
Distributing food and non-food items to those facing generational poverty. These gift-in-kind items are provided by our GAiN worldwide network.
Working on construction projects, alongside local partners and the local church.
Spending time with local people who have lived in generational poverty.
Meeting people who have been displaced by conflict with Azerbaijan.
Meeting with staff and students from JAH Student Ministry while participating in their events.
You might also:
Learn about the effects of generational poverty that has arisen from complex disasters and their aftereffects.
Share your testimony and faith with those who do not yet know Christ and learn from fellow believers.
The cost of each Mission Trip includes international airfare, orientation, all ministry-related expenses, debrief, in-country transportation, housing, meals, and administration.
Once accepted, we will provide coaching and training on how to invite people to financially and prayerfully partner with you. Support raising can be an opportunity for you to grow in faith by trusting God to provide. It also gives your community the opportunity to join in what God is doing.
